A note from Darren, Sandpipers General Manager
I know we’d all hoped that 2021 might bring better news, but sadly we find ourselves in another national lockdown. So, although things still feel pretty difficult, I wanted to reach out and remind you that we, at Sandpipers, are still open and here to support you.
While the other two Revitalise centres have joined forces with the NHS, to support local hospitals when they are in desperate need, Sandpipers has remained open for disabled people and carers throughout the pandemic. We might not be able to offer you our usual holiday experience, but I’m proud to say we’re still providing relaxing, sociable and fully supported breaks for our guests.
So, if you’re facing the months ahead with trepidation; worrying how you might cope with reduced care support, missing friendly faces, or simply desperate for a change of scenery, come and enjoy a break in Southport with me and the team.
Across the pages ahead you’ll see we’ve tried to give a little colour to what a break with us might look like right now – there are changes, but I think you’ll recognise the familiar fun and togetherness that Sandpipers is known for. The Southport sunsets are still breath-taking, the smiles are still wide, and the food is still delicious.
We also have plenty of funding from the likes of the National Lottery and Barclays bank available. So please get in touch and ask for assistance to make the respite break you so deserve a reality.
